Main Goal:
The waterdrop Athlete Program is designed to help our athletes reach the pinnacle of their sport. As an Athlete Marketing Manager you will support this, bringing the brand of waterdrop to life on a global level through the athletes, in projects and marketing programs and through their personal brands. You will build and control awareness of waterdrop by using branded athletes and product placement as tools to reach new consumers and create brand differentiation. You will own the strategic roadmap and have the authority to execute on campaigns with the aim of expanding and leveraging the waterdrop athlete network to reach a national and global scale.

Job Description

  • Develop the overall athlete marketing strategy together with your team. 

  • Act as the main point of contact for your pool of athletes. 

  • Ensure that each managed athlete is fully familiar with our products and the brand. 

  • Ensure that each managed athlete has the required products needed for all marketing activities at all times included and not limited to games, training, events etc. 

  • Assist in the creation, negotiation and signing of athlete and agency contracts. 

  • Create precise targets for your pool of athletes and propose solutions to increase performance when necessary. 

  • Ensure correct use of products during games and trainings and tracking of media assets. 

  • Maximize impact of marketing and PR efforts by ensuring full collaboration of your athletes during events and interviews. 

  • Work closely with the Product Development team to provide branding solutions specific to each athlete: customized bottles, customized Microdrinks, merch etc. 

  • Be in complete alignment with the Online, Social Media and PR teams in order to ensure maximum impact across all channels.


  • Bachelor’s Degree (Sports Management is a plus). 

  • 2+ years sports marketing experience in sports management and/or sports industry. 

  • Superior communication skills. 

  • Work well under pressure and able to deliver finished products during critical time periods. 

  • Collaborative team-player with entrepreneurial attitude and a roll-up-your-sleeves approach willing to bring fresh, innovative ideas to life. 

  • Strength in prioritization, independent way of working and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
