Job Description
As part of our Backend team, you will:
Manage the backbone of the Tractive ecosystem
Shape our product that supports hundreds of thousands of pet lovers around the world
Take the lead by growing and developing one of our two Backend teams. Depending on your strengths and expertise, you will have the opportunity to lead either our APIs & services team or our team focussing on big data, data processing services and infrastructure.
Work in close collaboration with software architects in terms of technical responsibilities
Coordinate and execute a variety of projects, including developing innovative features for our Backend systems, growth of our Infrastructure and tackling numerous other exciting initiatives
Report directly to the CTO
Bring in your fresh ideas to make Tractive better - you’ll never hear the phrase “...because that’s how we’ve always done things”
Continuously grow personally and professionally, take ownership of areas that show your potential, and attend workshops which help you get to the next level
Requirements
Experience in leading a development team, ideally backend
Great communication and organizational skills
Experience with agile methodologies and software development lifecycle
Experience with software development (ideally in one of our core languages Ruby/Kotlin/Java)
Very good English skills both written and verbal
Valid Austrian work permit
Looking to take on the responsibility of leading a team and projects
Passionate about people management and development
Focusing on the bigger picture as well as the small details
Eager to bring the world market leader in pet GPS tracking to the next level
Willing to come and work with our fantastic team in Austria

Just so you know what to expect: For this position, we offer a competitive overpayment based on qualification and experience. Annual gross salary starts at € 70,000 full-time. At Tractive, that means a 4-day work week with a 3-day weekend. If you bring relevant experience in many of the fields of responsibility, the salary will be considerably higher.
